On March 10th, 2022, at approximately 3:39 pm, the police department was contacted by a victim advising they received an email from Bank of America about an account which was opened in their name. The victim, who resides in 700 block of Old Silver Spring Road, advised they did not open the account. Bank of America advised the account was opened online and the account was closed due to it being a fraudulent account. The victim does not know how their identifying information was obtained. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
