The police department would like to honor and salute two women who have served the Borough of Mechanicsburg and its citizens for just short of a combined 65 years. Leslie Hocker has worked with the Borough of Mechanicsburg starting with the Borough in 1994. Leslie worked part time for the police department for a number of years. She was transferred upstairs, full time, and has served as the administrative assistant for the police department the last few years. Chief Margaret Myers has been with the police department since 1984. Chief Myers started as a patrol officer and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2002. She was promoted to her current position as Chief in 2016.
Both of these women have served the Borough with honor and a dedication which we felt needed to be recognized and saluted on this day, International Women’s Day.
