On May 26th, 2023, the police department was contacted by multiple victims about thefts from motor vehicles which occurred overnight from the 25th into the 26th. The victims were located throughout the Borough – 1st block of South Broad Street, 600 block of Central Street, 1st, 300, and 400 block of South Frederick Street, 100 block of South George Street, 1st and 600 block of West Keller Street, 200 block of Lantzy Road, and the 400 and 800 block of East Marble Street. The thefts included credit cards being taken and subsequently used without permission of the owners. The police department has been collecting video and pictures of the suspects and suspect vehicle. Other agencies also had reports of thefts from motor vehicles in their jurisdictions as well. The police department has been working with the other departments in attempt to identify those involved.
