On August 29th, 2022, at approximately 7:17 am, an officer on a traffic stopped was informed a hit and run crash had just occurred in the 300 block of East Main Street. The individual reporting this was identified as the victim. The victim advised they operating their vehicle and they were slowing down for traffic in the area. A white Ford Crown Victoria, was following the victim and did not stop prior to striking the victim’s vehicle. The victim advised their vehicle was struck in the rear end and they pulled over, but the striking vehicle kept travelling westbound on East Main Street. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
