On November 2nd, 2021, at approximately 6:26 am, the police department was dispatched to the 1st block of West Main Street for a struck pedestrian. Upon arrival officers determined there was one vehicle and a pedestrian involved. Investigation into the crash found a vehicle was travelling eastbound on West Main Street. The pedestrian was getting ready to cross the street to get into an Uber. The eastbound vehicle struck the pedestrian and knocked them to the ground. The pedestrian was dressed in dark clothing and was not in a crosswalk. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for further treatment. The police department was assisted at the scene by Penn State Health EMS.
