On November 2nd, 2021, at approximately 8:11 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash which occurred at the intersection of East Main and South Filbert Streets. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Richard was operating her vehicle westbound on East Main Street. Richard advised she took her eyes off the road to pick up a drink she dropped and struck the vehicle in front of her. The struck vehicle was being operated by Spotts. Spotts was stopped on East Main Street waiting for traffic to clear in order to turn onto South Filbert Street. There were no injuries reported. Richard’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained from the crash.
