On November 12th, 2023 at approximately 6:43 pm., the Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched to the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of North York Street for a theft from a motor vehicle. An investigation revealed one of the victim’s vehicle windows was smashed and an item removed from the front passenger seat. Officers also learned similar incidents occurred on this same date in Upper Allen and Silver Spring Townships. Residents are reminded to not leave valuable items inside their vehicles even if they are locked.
