On May 31st, 2022, at approximately 1:18 pm, the victim contacted the police department about a package having been delivered to their residence and then being taken. The victim resides in the 1st block of East Locust Street. The victim advised they captured the delivery and subsequent theft with their video camera. Upon the officer viewing the recording, he was immediately able to positively identify the suspect. The officer made contact with the suspect who was still wearing the exact clothing in the recording. The contents of the package were not recovered. The suspect was subsequently charged with the theft of the package. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
