On May 31st, 2022, at approximately 1:19 pm, a second victim reported the theft of a package which had been delivered to their residence, also in the 1st block of East Locust Street. The victim advised the package had been delivered and they were able to capture the theft of the package from their video camera. The officer was able to view the video and immediately identified, the even better recording of, the defendant taking this victim’s package. The suspect was contacted and was wearing the same clothing as in the recording. The contents of the package were not recovered. The suspect was subsequently charged with the theft of this second package as well. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
