On September 13th, 2022, at approximately 11:18 am, the police department was contacted by a member of the Mechanicsburg Borough Shade Tree Commission. The Shade Tree Commission was able to get new trees donated for planting. Members of the commission and volunteers spent Saturday the 10th, planting the trees in Memorial Park. While watering the newly planted trees, the member found one of the trees had been dug up and taken. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
