On August 19th, 2020, at approximately 7:45 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash at the intersection of West Strawberry Avenue and North Market Street. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved in the crash. A vehicle operated by Firestone attempted to cross North Market Street to travel eastbound on Strawberry Avenue. After pulling from the stop sign, Firestone’s vehicle was struck by a vehicle travelling northbound on North Market Street, operated by Kabroth. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage sustained from the crash. Injuries were reported by both drivers. Kabroth was transported for further treatment and evaluation at the hospital. The police department was assisted at the scene by Geisinger EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
