On March 22nd, 2022, at approximately 3:48 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of West Simpson and South Broad Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were three vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found a juvenile male was operating his vehicle southbound in the 1st block of South Broad Street. This section of South Broad Street is one way for northbound traffic. The juvenile male did not realize he was going the wrong way and entered into West Simpson Street without stopping. Bush and Myers were operating their vehicles on West Simpson Street. Bush was travelling eastbound and Myers westbound. They advised the juvenile male’s vehicle entered the intersection and they could not avoid a crash. Bush was transported to the hospital for further evaluation of injuries he sustained in the crash. All three vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage from the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Silver Spring Township EMS, Penn State Health EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
