On May 5th, 2022, at approximately 3:12 pm, the police department was dispatched to East Simpson and South Walnut Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arriving officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found being operated by Lucas was travelling eastbound on East Simpson Street. A vehicle being operated Naccarato was travelling south on South Walnut Street. He advised he stopped for the red light and upon getting the green in his direction, he turned left onto East Simpson Street to travel eastbound. While making the turn Naccarato advised his vehicle was struck by Lucas’ vehicle. Lucas was evaluated by EMS on scene and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation of her injures. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Hampden Township EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
