On May 21st, 2022, at approximately 10:42 am, the police department was dispatched to the 300 block of North York Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Morrow was operating his motorcycle northbound on North York Street. Morrow got distracted by someone standing alongside the roadway and did not notice the vehicle in front of him coming to a stop. Morrow was not able to stop before striking the vehicle being operated by Merriman. A passenger on the motorcycle suffered injuries from the crash and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Morrow’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained. The police department was assisted on scene by Hampden Township EMS.
