On October 18th, 2022, at approximately 8:02 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred at the intersection of South York and West Marble Streets. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Mitten was operating her vehicle southbound on South York Street. Garcia Alvarez was operating his vehicle westbound on West Marble Street. Both operators advised they stopped at their respective stop signs and checked for traffic. Seeing no other vehicles, both operators entered into the intersection and a crash occurred. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash.
