On January 28th, 2023, at approximately 8:22 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of Weaver and West Stouffer Alleys for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined the crash involved a vehicle and a bicycle. Investigation into the crash found the bicyclist Smith, was riding her bicycle north on Weaver Alley. She advised she entered the intersection without stopping and struck a vehicle travelling east on West Stouffer Alley. Smith was transported to the hospital for further evaluation of injuries she sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS.
