On February 15th, 2023, at approximately 1:49 pm, the police department was dispatched to the 500 block of East Simpson Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were three vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Summers was travelling westbound on East Simpson Street. Traffic was stopped in front of him for the light at South Filbert Street. Summers did not stop his vehicle in time and struck the rear of the vehicle in front of him, causing this vehicle to strike the vehicle in front of them. These two vehicles were operated by Soto-Torres and Summers. Summers’ vehicle and Soto-Torres’ vehicles both required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash.
