On June 15th, 2023, at approximately 5:27 pm, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred at the intersection of Shepherdstown Road and East Coover Street. Upon arrival officers determined there were three vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Adams was stopped at the stop sign on East Coover Street facing west. Adams pulled into the intersection and was struck by a southbound vehicle being operated by Santos. Santos’ vehicle spun and struck a parked vehicle before coming to a stop. Santos did not have a stop sign for his direction. Santos was evaluated by EMS and was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Adams and Santos’ vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained. The police department was assisted on the scene by Penn State Health EMS.
