On July 3rd, 2023, at approximately 7:11 am, the Police Department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred in the 700 block of West Simpson Street. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Yahnke was stopped for a steady red signal at West Simpson Street and West Main Street. Bernhisel was traveling west and failed to stop in time striking the trailer of Yahnke’s vehicle. Bernhisel’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage.
