On May 7th, 2024 at approximately 5:40pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of North Frederick Street and West Green Street for a crash that just occurred. Investigation determined the operator of the Explorer was traveling westbound on West Green Street. The operator failed to observe the Expedition traveling southbound on North Frederick Street and proceeded from the stop sign, causing a crash. The Explorer then slid into the adjacent curb and sustained additional damage. One operator sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Both vehicles were towed as a result of the damage they sustained.
The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State EMS and Hampden EMS.
