On May 6th, 2021, at approximately 5:12 pm, the police department was made aware of a crash which just occurred in the 200 block of West Simpson Street. Upon arrival it was determined three vehicles were involved. Investigation into the crash found a vehicle operated by Ibrahim struck the vehicle in front of him, which pushed that vehicle into another vehicle. The first vehicle struck was operated by Wadlinger. The third vehicle struck was operated by Mbithi. It was found Mbithi had stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross in the cross walk. Wadlinger stopped his vehicle behind Mbithi’s. This is when Ibrahim did not stop in time and the crash occurred. Ibrahim’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
