On August 23rd, 2021, at approximately 1:56 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South York Street and West Marble Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash determined a vehicle operated by Nguyen was eastbound on West Marble Street. Cunningham was operating her vehicle travelling northbound on South York Street. Cunningham stopped at the stop sign at the intersection. Cunningham entered the intersection to continue northbound. Nguyen’s vehicle struck Cunningham’s vehicle in the intersection. Nguyen did not stop for the stop sign prior to entering the intersection. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash. Nguyen was transported to the hospital for further evaluation of his injuries from the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department and Penn State Health EMS.
