On November 15th, 2021, at approximately 5:24 pm, the police department was dispatched to a crash which occurred East Simpson and South Filbert Streets. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Sabel was operating her vehicle eastbound on East Simpson Street. She was attempting to turn left onto South Filbert Street. The traffic light changed to yellow and Sabel began her turning movement. Cannaday was operating her vehicle westbound on East Simpson Street and continued into the intersection as the light was changing. A crash occurred in the intersection. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash. Cannaday was transported to the hospital for further evaluation of her injuries. The police department was assisted at the scene by Penn State Health EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
