On November 26th, 2023 at approximately 6:06 pm., the Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of Shepherdstown Road and East Elmwood Avenue for a crash. While investigating the crash, it was determined one of the drivers, William Goodling, was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was under the influence to the degree he was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and arrested. Goodling was transported to the hospital then to Cumberland County Prison where he was processed. A preliminary hearing will be held on a later date.
