On November 7th, 2023, at approximately 5:14 pm, the police department was dispatched to contact the victim in reference to a hit and run crash. Investigation determined the crash occurred at approximately 3:25 pm. The victim was driving on South Filbert Street preparing to turn onto East Simpson Street when she was rear-ended by another vehicle. The other driver exited their vehicle and the victim asked them to follow them to a safer location to exchange information. The driver of the other car got back into their vehicle and left the scene. The striking vehicle was described as a black unknown make or model SUV.
