On August 4th, 2023 at approximately 2:13 am an Officer observed a vehicle code violation in the 400 block of East Main Street and attempted to complete a U-turn. The operator saw the Officer complete the U-turn and continued northbound on North Walnut Street at a high rate of speed. The Officer observed the operator turn into a residential parking lot and exit his vehicle. The operator fled the area on foot but was soon located nearby. The operator was identified as Savage, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Following the investigation, Savage was determined to be unsafe to operate a motor vehicle and was arrested.
