On August 2nd, 2023 at approximately 2:06 pm, the Police Department was dispatched to a crash which had just occurred. It was determined Freeman was traveling westbound on East Stouffer Alley and Pumarejo was traveling southbound on South Race Street. Investigation revealed Pumarejo was under the influence of alcohol and was unsafe to operate a motor vehicle. Pumarejo was arrested and a preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
