On August 7th, 2023 at approximately 10:04 am the Police Department was contacted by the Mechanicsburg High School in reference to vandalism. During the overnight hours an unknown suspect entered the school through an unsecured construction entrance and vandalized several areas of the school.
On August 8th, 2023 at approximately 1:18 am Officers were conducting a foot patrol around the high school due to the incident the night prior. During their foot patrol, individuals were heard inside the building. The suspects were caught and identified as two male juveniles. Vandalism to the interior of the school was extensive. It was determined the same juveniles were responsible for the damage the night prior.
Mechanicsburg Police were assisted by Officers from Silver Spring Township, Upper Allen Township, and Lower Allen Township.
Charges – Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Institutional Vandalism
