On May 19th, 2023, at approximately 10:27 pm, the police department was dispatched for an individual who was operating a motor vehicle carelessly in the area of South York and West Simpson Streets. A witness behind the vehicle called 911 and reported the careless driving. The vehicle was located and an investigation was conducted. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 17 year old, juvenile male. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and it was determined he was not safe to operate a motor vehicle. The juvenile was subsequently arrested. A hearing will be held at a later date.
