On September 13th, 2023 at approximately 9:20 pm., the Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched for a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted in the first block of North Railroad Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Shakira Daniels. During the investigation, Daniels was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. It was determined Daniels was not safe to operate a motor vehicle and she was arrested. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
