On September 29th, 2023, at approximately 8:56 pm, officers attempted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the 100 block of South York Street. The operator failed to stop and fled from officers. After attempting to drive up a hill, the vehicle became disabled. The operator and a passenger were subsequently detained. The operator, Hockley, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and had an active arrest warrant. Hockley was arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Booking Center. The passenger was released without charges. A preliminary hearing for Hockley was held at a later date and the charges were waived to the Court of Common Pleas.
