On July 15th, 2023 at approximately 11:43 am, the Police Department was dispatched to a hit and run crash which had just occurred at East Main Street and North Walnut Street. Investigation revealed that a tractor trailer made an illegal right-hand turn from East Main Street onto North Walnut Street. As the truck conducted the turn it struck Meyer’s vehicle, which was stopped at the red signal within the left turn lane. The operator of the tractor trailer failed to stop at the scene but was later determined to be driven by Gallmann.
