On October 17th, 2020, at approximately 4:58 pm, the police department was dispatched to the area of Brandy Lane and Old Silver Spring Road for a crash which just occurred. It was reported there were two vehicles involved, with one vehicle leaving the scene. Upon arrival, officers met with the remaining driver. The driver of the remaining vehicle advised they were driving southbound on Old Silver Spring Road. They came to a stop at the intersection with Brandy Lane, at the stop sign. There was a vehicle in front of them, also stopped. This vehicle began to turn left, but stopped and started to back up. The vehicle backed up into the remaining vehicle. The striking vehicle pulled to the side of the road and the front seat passenger exited the vehicle. The passenger got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle, as the driver switched to the passenger seat while still inside. The striking vehicle proceeded to drive off. The striking vehicle was described as a black, four-door sedan, possibly an Acura. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
