On August 19th, 2021, at approximately 3:44 pm, the victim contacted the police department after their online unemployment benefits account was hacked. The victim resides in the 400 block of North Walnut Street. The victim advised they had not been receiving their unemployment benefits in their bank account. They logged into the account and could not access the account. They contacted unemployment and learned someone accessed the victim’s account and changed the password and bank account information. This was done without the victim’s authorization. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
