On August 19th, 2021, at approximately 7:50 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of Shepherdstown Road and East Coover Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash determined Oster was operating his vehicle south on Shepherdstown Road. A vehicle being operated by Stiffler was travelling in front of Oster’s vehicle. Oster believed Stiffler was going to turn right onto East Coover Street as Stiffler’s vehicle began slowing. Oster attempted to pass Stiffler on the left. Stiffler continued travelling straight and struck Oster’s vehicle. Oster was accelerating at the time as he observed Stiffler was going to continue straight and attempted to avoid the crash. Oster’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
