On April 11th, 2023, at approximately 4:29 pm, the victim contacted the police department after being involved in a hit and run crash. The victim reported they were driving south on South Walnut Street, approaching East Simpson Street. The victim advised they were stopped in traffic when their vehicle was struck from behind. The victim advised the traffic light turned green and they turned left onto East Simpson Street to pull over. The striking vehicle turned left as well, but when the victim pulled over the striking vehicle kept driving. The striking vehicle was described as a white work van. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
