On August 6th, 2023, at approximately 2:10 pm, the Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched to a convenience store in reference to a theft. Officers were shown video in which the suspect waits until the employee is distracted before reaching over the counter and stealing lottery tickets. The following day, Police Officers were called back to the business when the suspect returned. The suspect admitted to the theft when questioned. A summary citation was filed on the suspect for retail theft.
