On November 14th, 2022, at approximately 5:35 pm, the victim contacted the police department about an advertisement they responded to on Facebook. The victim resides in the 1st block of South George Street. They advised they located Doberman puppies for sale on a Facebook group post. The victim responded to the post and communicated with an individual purporting to having the puppies. The victim was directed to send $400 through the Zelle digital payment network. The victim did so. They later saw the post had now be deleted and the individual was no longer contacting them back. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
