On July 5th, 2023, at approximately 11:58 am, a scam was reported to the police department. The elderly victim’s child was making the report. It was learned, the victim was contacted by someone on Facebook. On three separate occasions, the victim sent money to this unknown person totaling $1,700.00. The identity of the person who contacted the victim is unknown. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Police Department.
