Theft from Motor Vehicle – Lost Property

MBG-2022-02-0478

On February 18th, 2022, at approximately 10:04 am, the police department was contacted by a victim advising their vehicle had been entered. The victim advised they had their vehicle parked to the rear of their residence in the 400 block of South York Street. They had not been in their vehicle in about a week. On 2/17, at approximately 1:00 pm, they entered their vehicle and found a cell phone which did not belong to them. Nothing from their vehicle had been taken. The cell phone is an iPhone, silver, with a black “blackweb” case. The phone had a PIN lock on it and the picture in the background was not helpful in determining the owner. A 911 call to the county communications center determined the phone service most likely has been shut off. Anyone who is missing their cell phone, which they left behind in the victim’s vehicle, is asked to contact the police department to retrieve their phone. Anyone with information regarding this incident is also asked to contact the police department.
