On August 25th, 2022, at approximately 4:26 pm, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred at the intersection of South Norway and East Simpson Streets. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Kasbari was travelling eastbound on East Simpson Street. Yost advised he was travelling travelling southbound on South Norway Street. Yost advised he stopped at the stop sign for the intersection. Yost stated he was attempting to turn left to travel east on East Simpson Street. Traffic was backed up in the westbound lane for East Simpson Street. A driver stopped in traffic, motioned for Yost to proceed. He started into the intersection and did not see Kasbari’s vehicle. A crash occurred between the two vehicles. Yost’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
