On February 6th, 2023, at approximately 8:28 am, the police department was dispatched to the 200 block of Shepherdstown Road for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Wright was travelling north on Shepherdstown Road. There was a school bus stopped at the red light in front of her. Wright advised she was intending on making a right turn onto East Simpson Street. The school was bus was to the left side of the lane, so Wright pulled beside the bus to make her turn. The school bus driver, Walker, advised she had on her right turn signal and upon making her turn, the school bus struck Wright’s vehicle. There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash. Wright’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
