On February 6th, 2023, at approximately 10:24 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred at the intersection of West Simpson and South York Streets. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Jones was operating his vehicle south on South York Street. He was intending to make a left turn onto West Simpson Street. Upon starting his turn his vehicle was struck by a northbound vehicle being operated by Schaal. Jones’ vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
