On March 19th, 2021, at approximately 7:38 pm, the police department was dispatched to the 100 block of East Main Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were three vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found a vehicle operated by Gunn was stopped in traffic. The vehicle behind him was operated by Matula and was stopped as well. A vehicle operated by Estrada-Herrera was travelling eastbound and did not stop for the stopped traffic prior to striking Matula’s vehicle. Matula’s vehicle was pushed into Gunn’s vehicle after impact. Estrada-Herrera’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. Estrada-Herrera and a passenger in her vehicle were transported by EMS to the hospital for further evaluation. The police department was assisted by Penn State Health EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
