On May 26th, 2021, at approximately 8:32 pm, the police department was dispatched to the 600 block of East Simpson Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival it was determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found a female juvenile was operating her vehicle eastbound on East Simpson Street. The female juvenile did not see a vehicle was stopped to turn into a business parking lot. The stopped vehicle was waiting for westbound traffic to clear. The female juvenile rear ended the stopped vehicle, which was operated by a female juvenile. The striking vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The operators of both vehicles were examined by EMS on scene, but did not require further transport.
